Affirmative Action at the High Court and What's Next with Debo Adegbile

RSVP through ACS Houston at: https://getinvolved.acslaw.org/component/events/event/1446

Join the Asian American Bar Association of Houston and the ACS Houston Lawyer Chapter for a presentation and reception with acclaimed civil rights attorney Debo Adegbile. Debo is a partner in the Government and Regulatory Litigation Group and the Chair of Anti-Discrimination Practice at WilmerHale, the former Director of Litigation at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., and completed a six-year term on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights where he served as an appointee of President Barack Obama. He was part of the team that defended affirmative action at the Supreme Court last term in SFFA v. Harvard. Debo will discuss the Supreme Court’s decision in that case, its possible ramifications for student diversity in higher education, and what this decision means not only for college campuses, but may also signal in the workplace and corporate America.

Food and drink will be provided. Space is limited so RSVP today.

November 15 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
